DANNY DYER'S FORGOTTEN DRAMA WITH MARTIN COMPSTON LANDS NEW UK STREAMING HOME

Danny Dyer's forgotten 2011 drama 7 Lives has landed a new UK streaming home. The movie came before the star's notable run on EastEnders, and follows a man who is ambushed by a group of hoodies.

Afterwards, he "experiences parallel realities as a rock star, homeless man, and a hoodlum", and while "confronting desires and fears, he questions life choices before deciding to return home or not".

Viewers wanting to catch the film can now do so via Prime Video, where it was added yesterday and is available to subscribers for free.

7 Lives co-stars Line of Duty's Martin Compston, Lazarus' Kate Ashfield, Grantchester's Nick Brimble and House of the Dragon's Michael Elwyn.

The movie received a mixed response from fans, one praising its "great performances" and "engrossing tale", adding that they "recommended" it.

"Watchable, but a little confusing," another added, arguing that "overall, 7 Lives is not a masterpiece, far from it, but it is watchable - if you have 99 minutes to spend".

However, some were less keen, one fan writing: "7 Lives has an intriguing concept, but somehow it manages to go off the rails almost as soon as it's begun, with a confused and meandering story that fails to make much sense or relevance in relation to it's central protagonist or to the audience."

Another went as far as labelling it "one of the worst films I have ever seen", a further viewer suggesting it was "awful, truly awful".

In other news, Dyer has landed a role in new Channel 4 thriller The Siege, which focuses on the 1980 Iranian Embassy siege in London as the SAS secretly plans a rescue mission.

Based on Ben Macintyre's book of the same name, the "heart-stopping, emotional thriller" is also set to star David Morrissey, Motaz Malhees, Omid Djalili, Nicola Stephenson, Sean Pertwee, Asim Chaudhry, Moe Bar-El, Aneurin Barnard, Mark Bonnar and Gwilym Lee.

7 Lives is streaming now on Prime Video.
