BBC fans have been treated to a new comedy with stars from The Office, Monty Python and Game of Thrones.
Comedy fanatics have been eagerly waiting for their next obsession and many have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to exclaim "at last" as they stumbled across their new favourite series.
Written and directed by The Office and Pirates of the Caribbean star Mackenzie Cook, Small Prophets is a six-part series which made its BBC Two debut last night, Monday, February 9, at 10pm.
The Manchester-set comedy revolves around Michael Sleep (played by Pearce Quigley), a man whose life has been stagnant since his girlfriend Clea disappeared seven years prior.
Desperately looking for answers, Michael uses his dad's (Michael Palin) strange old recipe to try and grow small prophesying spirits in his garden shed but he struggles to rid himself of nosy neighbours and Clea's brother who wants to take back the family home.

Small Prophets will continue to air its six-part series every Monday night in the same timeslot but for those who can't wait, the entire boxset is ready to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Leading the cast as Michael Sleep is Detectorists and The Gentleman star Pearce Quigley, who is joined by Monty Python actor Michael Palin as Michael's dad Brian.
They are joined by Game of Thrones star Paul Kaye as Clea's brother Roy, Netflix's Run Away actor Jon Pointing and The Office's Mackenzie Crook as Michael's boss.
Crook is the mastermind behind Small Prophets as the BBC hit's creator and director.
Fans have been heaping on the praise since its debut, with viewers calling the show "perfect" and its creator Crook a "genius".
"So, one episode in... and #SmallProphets is British telly at its gentle, whimsical, beautiful best", someone said.
Another echoed: "Absolutely bloody brilliant. I knew Mackenzie Crook would come up with something special. Great cast, fantastic script."

"An absolute masterpiece from Mackenzie Crook. I'm resisting binge watching, have watched first episode twice so far. A classic."
Many other viewers, however, haven't been able to stop themselves from watching the entire show already.
