JENNA COLEMAN'S TRAGIC AUSTRALIA-SET BBC DRAMA TO 'BINGE-WATCH IN ONE GO' GETS NEW UK STREAMING HOME

Jenna Coleman's psychological drama The Cry is now available to stream in the UK on a new streaming platform.

The series originally aired on the BBC in 2018, but is now available to stream on Disney+.

Set in Australia, the four-episode heart-wrenching drama is based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Helen FitzGerald.

Coleman stars as Glasgow primary school teacher Joanna Lindsay, who travels to Australia with her fiancé Alistair Robertson (Ewen Leslie) and their baby son Noah to fight for custody of his daughter from his first marriage, Chloe.

During the drive to the coastal town of Wilde Bay, Noah goes missing, with the couple's relationship and mental state disintegrating in the aftermath of the baby's disappearance.

The miniseries has been a gripping hit for viewers, with audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes bringing The Cry to an 85% rating. Meanwhile, fans have been raving about it on other audience-based platforms, including Google Reviews, where one person waxed lyrical about the series' bingeability.

"Sure, it isn't perfect, but who cares when the acting is this good, and the story so gripping, intriguing and surprising from the beginning right until the very end."

The Cry is steaming on Disney+ in the UK. Readers in the US can watch it on AMC+.
