After travelling the world promoting two hit movies the Wicked cast can't get enough of each other and its stars are still very much in touch.
In fact Cynthia Erivo says Ariana Grande is “always checking on me” as she and other Oz co-stars visit her in current West End show, Dracula.
Cynthia spilled: Johnny [Jonathan Bailey] came. Michelle [Michelle Yeoh] is coming, I think. Jeff [Jeff Goldblum] came to see it. He was there on opening night. My producers have come to see it.
"Donna Langley came in to see it. I know that Jon Chu will be coming at some point. So, they are all sort of coming in as and when.
But it's Ari who everyone cares about and Cynthia admitted on Capital Breakfast: "Ari [Ariana Grande] is always checking on me and I know she will be here at some point. So, you know, everyone has turned up. It’s really lovely that everyone has been there.
Cynthia also revealed that rather than show tunes she listens to yacht rock ahead of taking the stage in her one-woman Dracula show.
“I’m a strange person," she confessed. "So, an evening show starts at 7:30pm; I'm at the theatre, probably from 4:00pm to 4:30pm, about that time. Because I want to take it really slowly.
"So, I get in, I'll sit down, do any paperwork or whatever else in my life there, then I'll get my makeup done. I will be running a lot of the lines, probably from the moment I wake up, to be honest. I run the lines whilst I'm running, because I’m training for London Marathon.
"But it's really helpful, because it means I have to do my runs in the morning. And during my runs in the morning, I run a lot of the sections of the show.
"Then when I get in, I have a few hours before the show starts, and I run small sections of the show just to get my mind agile enough to do the show.
"Then I have a warmup with my vocal coach. I will do my mics just before. I do a mini meditation, because I get quite nervous before I go on, and it helps me sort of like calm my nerves. And this is going sound very strange, but I listen to yacht rock.”
Yacht rock has become a huge genre across the world and Cynthia loves all the classics.
She spilled: "I think the artist's name is Chris McDonald [Christopher Cross & Michael McDonald]. There's a song called Sailing.
“During my meditation. For some reason, and I’ve tested it, it helps my heart rate drop, so it actually makes me calmer before I go.”
Tune into Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce & Shayna Marie weekdays.
